In the last academic year, CCE Community Programs supported the following student groups:

BOND

What started as the Diversity in Chemistry Initiative (DICI) in 2016 has transformed into BOND in 2025. BOND aims to facilitate and embolden discussions on fairness in science and provide a space for students from different backgrounds to discuss issues and share ideas to advance our Division and create a safer and more inclusive community.

The group’s function is to improve the quality of the chemistry graduate program as well as to establish and maintain its policies.

The group’s mission is to support graduate students and postdoctoral researchers in chemistry and related sciences, with an emphasis on professional development and career networking. It is endowed by Dr. Barbara Burger (PhD ’87).

The group is composed of students from variety of disciplines who are passionate about engaging in chemistry outreach and cultivating a welcoming environment for Caltech undergraduates interested in chemistry.
