The Preer Family Gift

The Preer Family Gift enables the support of two WAVE Fellowship students from Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).

2025 Summer Preer WAVE Fellowships were awarded to Aniya M. Buckland, Rising Junior at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, and Neiman C. Sneed, Rising Junior at North Carolina Central University. Aniya’s research project was “Preparation of Cyclopentane Fragment En Route to Hypatulone A,” and was student-mentored by Kim Sharp (Stoltz Group). Neiman’s research project was “Selectivity in Palladium-Catalyzed. CDC of Substituted Pyrroles for (+)- Cyanocycline A Synthesis,” and was student-mentored by Bryce Gaskins (Stoltz Group). Both Aniya and Neiman were advised by Prof. Brian Stoltz.
